Zenith Bank Plc, one of Nigeria’s biggest lenders has disclosed that customers can now make cash withdrawals of up to N200,000 per day at its Automated Teller Machines nationwide.
The bank made this disclosure in a public notice sent to its customers on Wednesday.
Recall that during the recently introduced cashless policy, the Central Bank of Nigeria had placed a daily withdrawal limit of N20,000 on ATMs.
The policy has, however, subjected many people to untold hardship and triggered angry reactions from Nigerians.
In the notice, Zenith Bank said those banking with other financial institutions can also make cash withdrawals of up to N200,000 per day.
“You can perform cash withdrawals of up to N200,000 (Two Hundred Thousand Naira) per day, at Zenith Bank Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) nationwide, even if you bank with other financial institutions,” the notice read.
The bank, however, noted that the N500,000 weekly cashless policy withdrawal limit for individuals still applies.
