The Federal Government has signed a bilateral agreement on international education for 90 per cent scholarship awards for Nigerian students who are interested in studying in over 70 public universities in Turkey

According to the Executive Director of Wisdom House College, Mr. Abidemi Oyediran, this gesture is to assist interested Nigerians to get a faster and cheaper means of studying abroad due to the expensive rates of universities in the European Union countries.

“Sequel to the exorbitant amount of money involved in studying abroad, especially in places like Canada, UK, US and the likes, the Nigerian government went into a bilateral agreement on education as a give back to the society, except, of course, if a student is already on sponsorship,” he said.

Oyediran said that after the agreement, his college, in partnership with Good-mus Learning Center, was made the main link to recruit students to enjoy the scholarship awards.

He said; “Wisdom House College is the main Partner of Good-mus Learning Center, which has the licence to recruit students in Nigeria.

“Over 30 Nigerian students benefited from this offer last year, and are already in Turkey. The qualification examination for next admission is coming up on October 27, 2018. We brought the Turkish representatives into Nigeria last year and in May, this year, to conduct the examinations, and they will be coming to conduct it again, come October.

“Please, note that the examination is not what determines whether they get the scholarship or not. Every registrant is already qualified to get the scholarship,” he revealed.

Oyediran added that certain benefits were attached to the process.

“ULUYOS, coordinated by Uludag University, is the simple entrance examination for admission into over 75 public universities in Turkey. Its equivalent in Nigeria is the UTME, which is valid for 1 year, but ULUYOS is valid for two years.

“It is a 120-minute examination of 80 objective questions in Mathematics, English language and General Knowledge, where intelligence and time management are assessed. It is an entrance examination for undergraduate and vocational admissions into Turkish government universities,” he added.
