For the governorship candidate of the Alliance for Democracy in Lagos State, High Chief Owolabi Salis, it is time for Lagos to be liberated from captivity.
Owolabi, who is among the few notable candidates for the forthcoming contest in Lagos State, believes that Lagos’ wealth has been in the hands of a few individuals, saying now is the time to take it back.
MY PLEDGE
If elected, my government will regain the state for all Lagosians. There is no doubt that the resources and common wealth of Lagos State are in the hands of an individual in this state. They have been using the resources to advance their own interests. I’m also propelled by the fact that the indigenes and residents of Lagos are not happy. In fact, 99 per cent of us are not happy, and I believe it is time to take it back.
There is no doubt that the resources and common wealth of Lagos State are in the hands of an individual in this state. They have been using the resources to advance their own interests.
My government will bridge the gap between the rich and poor in the state. A successful government is that which is able to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor in basic needs of education, housing, transportation, health, food and others. It is not a government that pillages the common wealth and neglects the needy for the interests of a few. It is vital to let true democracy thrive in Lagos for an actual mega city to emerge, as Lagos holds the key to Nigeria’s growth, to propel Africa and the black race into reckoning worldwide.
If Iam elected, power will be given to the youths, as they are an important fragment of the state. A lot of people in power use our youths for violence and as miscreants. Meanwhile, their own children are living in comfort. We were once youths, we were limited to direction; it is not fair for them to be used for violence. I will ensure that the youths are empowered because they are important in the society.
