Mountain of Fire and Miracles players, Sikiru Olatunbosun and Stephen Odey will forever be grateful to the Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr, for the experience of inviting them into the national team camp.
Both players trained with the array of stars who played against Corsica and Togo in France and shared their excitement with their local team in Akure.
“At least we were privileged to make the national team out of the millions of stars across the country. We are grateful to Rohr for such experience and we hope to continue with the feeling. National team is not a tea party. We will continue to work hard to fit into the system,”Odey said.
MFM is boosted with the presence of these great players as they embark on another testy tie against Shooting Stars Football Club of Ibadan on Sunday.
The Olukoya boys returned to the second position of the NPFL table after posting a 1-0 win over FC Ifeanyiubah on Sunday but lost 1-3 to Lobi Stars of Makurdi on Wednesday.
The match against Lobi was not easy for the Lagos team even with Odey and Olatunbosun in the team. On Sunday, MFM will face Shooting Stars of Ibadan at the Agege Stadium to further continue their quest for the title. The Ibadan team who played a goalless draw against Kano Pillars on Wednesday will have to redouble their strength to withstand the heat in Lagos.
“We will take every match as it comes. There is no pressure. No stress. We won’t let any team to intimidate us. We have what it takes to win the team,” Olatunbosun said
