Indigenes of Dada Estate Olorunsogo and Hallelujah areas of Osogbo, Egbedore Local Government Area of Osun State, have dismissed speculation of an alleged communal crisis brewing in the two neighbouring communities.

According to the residents, the speculations making the rounds on social media platforms by some people are lies from the pit of hell.

They said there is no iota of rift let alone land dispute between the residents of the two towns.

The residents were reacting to what they tagged “fabricated and unsubstantial” claims flying around on social media over the recent coronation of Ajeniju of Halleluyah town, Oba Yusuf Jelili Olaiya.

The inhabitants of the two communities expressed sadness and worry over the purported land dispute matter between Osogbo and Ede towns.

According to concerned dwellers of the towns, it was quite unfortunate that certain individuals are working devilishly to truncate the peace being enjoyed in the communities because of their selfish political interest.

The Ikolaba of Ajeniju town, Chief Kolawole Alabi who is also a resident of Hallelujah town explained that the installation of Ajeniju of Halleluyah, Oba Yusuf Jelili Olaiya would only deepen the bond, harmony and existing peace between Osogbo and Hallelujah town, noting that there is no land dispute whatsoever between Osogbo and Ede.

He attributed the unfounded claims circulated online as the handiwork of some anti-progressive minded people who are too desperate to cause unrest and disharmony all in the name of politics.

He stressed that the legal and moral process that led to the installation of Ajeniju of Halleluyah are still intact, adding that never would his installation cause embers of land dispute between Osogbo and Ede.

He cautioned the agents who are hired to be peddling rumours around to desist from the act of bringing Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke into such matter, let alone the two frontline monarchs, the Ataoja of Osogbo Oba Abidemi Olanipekun and Timi of Ede land, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, who are involved in the case.

He held that the Adeleke-led administration has a zero tolerance for violence and never would Ataoja of Osogbo and Timi of Ede fold their arms and allow some politicians to use land related disputes to truncate the existing peace and brotherhood in their respective domains.
