VICE President Yemi Osinbajo will arrive Owerri, the Imo State capital, today (Tuesday).
Special Adviser/Chief of Protocol to the Governor of Imo State, Bright Nwelue, disclosed this in a statement in Owerri.
The VP’s visit is coming a day after gunmen attacked the Imo Correctional Centre in Owerri, freeing over 1,000 inmates, and also bombed the Imo police headquarters.
Nwelue said Osinbajo would, during his visit, commission a road project, the “Dick-Tiger Road, up to Methodist Junction and connecting Chukwuma Nwaoha.”
“The Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, will today commission one of the most critical roads in Imo State, solidly constructed and delivered by the Shared Prosperity Government of Senator Hope Uzodimma,” the statement said.
Osinbajo, it was learnt, would also seize the opportunity to visit the Owerri Correctional Centre and the police headquarters, bombed by the hoodlums on Monday.
