Two suspects land in Police custody for burgling council secretariat

Two suspected burglars have been arrested for allegedly breaking into Makoda Local Government Council Secretariat, Kano North senatorial district, Kano.

The suspects, Aminu Sani, and Abubakar Sabiu, residents of Koki Quarters, Kano, were reportedly detained by the police on 11th July, at about 4pm.

The police said that the suspects, who were in possession of eight air conditioners and one plasma television set, belonging to Makoda Local Government, were arrested at Maidasu Village in Makoda Local Government Council Area of the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Kano State Command, DSP AbdullahiHaruna Kiyawa, said the suspects were in police custody.

He added that the criminals’ operational vehicle, used in carrying out the crime, were in police custody as exhibit.

Kiyawa said the CP, Ismail Dikko, had directed the State Criminal Investigation Department to carry out detailed investigation on the matter.
