The Turkish government, through its administration for Turks living abroad and related communities, has opened a portal to admit the applications for schorlarships for 2016-2017 academic year.
The deputy chief of mission, Embassy of Turkey, Abuja, Yusuf Selcuk explained that the initiative, which ends by the end of March 2016, include both scholarship and university placement at the same time and there is no fixed number of scholarships for interested students, especially in Nigeria.
“Candidates can apply through turkiyeburslari.gov.tr for one scholarship programme in accordance with their educational background and academic goals. It covers monthly stipend of 600 Turkish Lira for undergraduate, 850 TL for masters and 1,200 TL for doctorate degree with full tuition fee, free accommodation, roundtrip air ticket and health insurance,” he stated….
