No fewer than four people were crushed to death on Wednesday morning when a truck driver lost control around the Alesinloye roundabout, in Ibadan, Oyo State.
An eyewitness said the truck driver, who was about to negotiate the roundabout in the area, suddenly ran into a Micra car, motorcycles riders and other passersby due to brake failure.
While three people died in the Micra, one of the Okada riders also died on the spot.
As of the time of filing this report, the trailer, carcass of the crushed vehicle and the motorcycle were on the road while the remains of the dead were being moved to the mortuary.
