President Bola Tinubu has appointed fresh 19 ministers-designate.
The new ministers-designate include: Ahmed Tijani, Bosun Tijani, Dr Mariam Shetty, Ishak Salako, Tunji Alausa, Tanko Sununu, Atiku Bagudu, Bello Matawalle, Ibrahim Gaidam, Simon Lalong, Lola Ade John, Prince Abubakar Audu, Senator Sabi Abdullahi, Alkali Samani, Senator Henekeins Lokpobori, and Gboyega Oyetola.
Five of the new ministerial nominees are former governors — Oyetola (Osun), Lalong (Plateau), Matawalle (Zamfara) and Gaidam (Yobe).
The new nominees would be screened on Friday.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio read the Presidential communication at plenary on Wednesday.
The Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, brought in the communication from the President during plenary while a ministerial nominee, Lateef Fagbemi, was being screened on Wednesday.
The President has so far submitted 47 ministerial nominees.
The President had on Thursday, July 27, 2023 nominated 28 ministers.
