The theater of Dreams at Old Trafford is expected to come alive on Sunday with the match of the week as Red Devils’ Manchester United host League leaders, Chelsea.
The match which observers described as the battle of the wits will see former Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho in front of his former players in a make or mar encounter. The Devils are in great shape to wrestle formidable side who are not ready to slip again to maintain the momentum.
Mourinho will not like to see some of his former players he almost ended their career with several loan stints. Nigeria international Victor Moses and others will like to play against the coach who did not see anything good in their career. Meanwhile, Antonio Conte has warned his players to keep their cool when they face Manchester United on Sunday.
Chelsea beat Manchester United 4-0 in the League in October and also knocked them out of the FA Cup quarter-finals last month. Conte is expecting an even tougher battle on the pitch this time and said: “For us it’s always important to control our emotion because we are playing and fighting to win the title. For sure this game will be a tough game. But we are ready to play.
“I don’t know (if they want revenge for two defeats). I think Manchester United for sure will have good motivation because they are playing against Chelsea – and Chelsea is top of the table. Every team wants to beat us.”
Conte’s men will also have the added pressure of playing a day after Spurs host Bournemouth at home. Manchester United have drawn 11 games this term, eight of which have been on home soil.
Mourinho has complained that opponents have been going to United’s ground with the sole intention of playing for a point. But Conte added: “Will we play for a win? Yes, for sure. It’s important now in every game to try and take three points, including at Old Trafford.
