No fewer than three people have reportedly lost their lives in a road accident that occurred in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
The incident occurred on Tuesday when a container-laden truck lost control and fell on a commercial tricycle.
The accident occurred at Takie Junction around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, leaving three people dead on the spot.
Those who reportedly lost their lives as a result of the accident included two female passengers and the tricycle rider.
They were trapped under the container.
Sources said the articulated vehicle lost control while navigating a bend, causing the container to topple and crush the tricycle.
It was gathered that rescue efforts later confirmed all three victims had died.
Efforts were made by residents to remove the container from the road to avert further accidents and restore traffic flow in the area.
