Tension erupted on Wednesday morning at the International wing of Murtala Muhammed Airport In Lagos as fire gutted a section of the primary gateway airport.

It was gathered that the inferno originated from a malfunctioning cable on the Tarmac.

The fire had reportedly damaged a portion of the FAAN administrative office the previous night before it was discovered this morning.

“All passengers and staff were asked to evacuate the building while the Lagos State Fire Service was on hand to complement that of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN),” a source said.
