A suspected Internet fraudster has been arrested with the corpse of his girlfriend by the Police in Delta State.
The suspected “Yahoo Boy” was said to have been arrested while trying to dump the victim’s lifeless body in a bush.
The Head of Ugono-Abraka community, Chief Samuel Umunadi, comfirmed the incident to journalists.
He said a vigilante group had informed him of the lady’s murder on Thursday night.
Sources said that the deceased, identified as Blessing Akpovwovwo, had been in a relationship with the yet-to-be-identified suspect for a fairly long time, and might have been used for rituals.
She was also suspected to have been pregnant at the time of her death.
No part of Blessing’s body had, however, been removed when the suspect, a resident of Urhuoka, Abraka, Ethiope East Local Government Area of the state, was arrested with her corpse, it was learnt.
Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, could not, however, be reached as of the time of filing this report.
