Sporting Lagos of Nigeria defeated FC Tokyo of Japan in front of roughly 9,000 fans at Gamla Ullevi Stadium.
Sporting Lagos had a solid start to the encounter.
In the ninth minute, they broke through FC Tokyo’s defence, and Yusuf Abdullahi fired past the Japanese goalkeeper.
Ten minutes later, the Nigerians increased their lead.
Babatunde Akomolede fired a rocket from outside the penalty area that went into the upper right corner of the net.
In the second half, Sporting Lagos maintained its attacking creativity and defensive solidity.
They scored in the 55th minute when Lucky John pounced on a rebound and tapped it in.
Sporting Lagos extended their lead once more, making the final score 4-0.
They won, making them the B17E category winners.
