Super Eagles player, Simy Nwankwo, has vowed to deliver goals for newly-promoted Serie A side Salernitana after joining the club from Crotone on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy him for €6m.
The US Salernitana 1919 announced that it reached an agreement with FC Crotone for the temporary transfer with the obligation to redeem the striker who will wear the number 25 shirt.
The Nigerian star performer is expected to earn €1m a year and a sign-on fee. Crotone will also get 10% of future sales.
The 29-year-old has been a target for The Garnets all summer as they prepare for life in Italy’s top-flight for the first time in 23 years.
It’s not hard to see why they’ve pulled all the stops to get the former Gil Vicente star after he scored 20 league goals in Italy’s top-flight last season.
The Super Eagles star achieved this incredible feat in a Crotone team with just five Serie A wins all season. Salernitana will now hope Simy can replicate the same form as they prepare to compete with the best this season.
