Simba Sports Club of Tanzania landed in Abuja, Nigeria on Wednesday morning ahead of their CAF Champions League preliminary round clash against Plateau United on November 27.
Third in their domestic league, Simba will challenge Nigerian side Plateau United for the first leg of these preliminary rounds. Sven Vandenbroeck and his players are hopeful of giving Plateau a good fight when hostilities begin.
On record, the Lions won seven games, drew two and lost two since the start of Tanzania League. They trashed Coastal Union 7-0 in their last league game on Saturday.
Simba SC players at their arrival in Abuja came with their full squad namely:
Goalkeepers: Aishi Manula, Ally Salim, and Beno Kakolanya.
Defenders: Shomari Kapombe, Gadiel Michael, Mohamed Hussein, Erasto Nyoni, Ibrahim Ame, Joash Onyango, Pascal Wawa and Kennedy Juma.
Midfielders: Jonas Mkude, Mzamiru Yassin, Said Ndemla, Rally Bwalya, Hassan Dilunga, Francis Kahata, and Clatous Chama.
Strikers: John Bocco, Meddie Kagere, Miraji Athumani, Bernard Morrison, Luis Miquissone and Ibrahim Ajibu.
