Just before halftime, Atalanta had another lucky break when Alexis Sanchez of Udinese hit the woodwork with a header and rattled the crossbar from the rebound before Carnesecchi stopped Sandi Lovric’s shot in a spectacular series of tries.
But in the final seconds, Atalanta came very close to winning when Lazar Samardzic’s second attempt was on goal, but Razvan Sava made a vital stop to keep the score tied.
