FORMER Senate President Bukola Saraki, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Pius Anyim; former Governor of Cross River State, Liyel Imoke, among others, arrived Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Tuesday, for a meeting with Governor Seyi Makinde.
Saraki, who is the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party reconciliation committee, led the other stakeholders to Ibadan where they first held a brief closed-door meeting with the Governor.
The PDP in Oyo State, like in other South-West states, has been enmeshed in crisis.
Sources therefore said the meeting was a step in many efrorts planned to resolve the crises.
However, there will be an elaborate meeting later in the day, according to Governor Makinde, who briefed journalists at the end of the closed-door meeting, which lasted for not more than 30 minutes.
Makinde told journalists that they would be briefed at the end of the elaborate meeting scheduled to hold at the Government House later on Tuesday.
