GOVERNOR Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has disclosed the names of police officers who assaulted #EndSARS protesters in Surulere.
A police officer had been captured in a viral video, dragging a lady, who was part of the protesters to the police station, while his colleagues also joined in the assault.
Sanwo-Olu, who had pledged his support for the protesters’ cause and sued for peace at different times, released the names of the four officers on Friday via a short video on Twitter.
They are Bagou Michael, Ekpoudom Etop, Nnamdi Madura, and Akinyemi Benson, according to the Governor.
The #EndSARS protests have intensified across the country in spite of the scrapping of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad.
