GOVERNOR Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, on Monday, appointed Oluremi Olaleye as the Rector of the Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH).
The new appointment was disclosed in a statement by the Office of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education.
The statement, signed by the Head, Public Affairs in the Office, Omolase Yejide, said the newly appointed Rector was earlier interviewed by the Governing Council of the Institution and subsequently recommended.
He is to serve for a single term of five years, with effect from 1st December, 2020, when the tenure of the Acting Rector, Olumide Metilelu, would expire.
Prior to his appointment, Olaleye was a Chief Lecturer at the Polytechnic.
