Franco-German coach, Gernot Rohr, has relegated Alloy Agu, as new goalkeeper’s trainer, Enrico Pionetti, arrived Super Eagles camp in Kano ahead of the Africa Nations Championship qualifier against Republic Benin next week.
According to the hints from the Eagles camp, the new trainer is directly working with the technical crew under Rohr to put the national team goalkeepers in proper shape.
The 62 year old Italian had worked with Rohr in his previous assignments at French Ligue 1 side, Club OGC Nice and Burkina Faso.
It is however unclear, what the role of former Eagles goaltender, Alloy Agu will be in the squad especially as the home based players are preparing for CHAN qualifier.
The new Super Eagles’ goalkeeper training featured for Leece from 1983 to 1986 and for Brescia in the following season. Other club sides he featured for include Anconitana, Salernitana, Cremonese and Imperia.
