Rite Foods Limited has acquired ISO 9001:2015 certificate issued by the Standard Organisation of Nigeria, thus boosting the outfit’s profile in a competitive market.
The event held at the Rite Foods Factory, Ososa, Ogun State, over the weekend.
The Director General of SON, Mr. Rosita Aboloma, represented by Mrs. Mojisola Kehinde, said the certificate acquired by Rite Foods limited was in conformity with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System’s standard.
He said it was a milestone achievement in the pursuit of production of quality products and worthy of emulation by all food and beverage industries in Nigeria.
” ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System approach provides robust, globally recognised and acceptable solutions to meeting requirements and addressing future needs and expectation of customers in an increasingly dynamic food and beverage production environment,” he said.
Aboloma also challenged the company to ensure that the system remain effective and be up-to-date, to reap the benefits of ISO approach to quality management, and that, public and private organisations that had not yet been so certified
should endeavour to set about it.
He added that the certificate would be withdrawn if the structures in place for certification break down and necessary corrective actions are not taken whenever
there is a breach.
The Managing Director of the Rite Foods Limited, Mr. Selim Adegunwa, said the journey to getting the certificate was not an easy one, as it required days of hard work.
He also said the process towards achieving the certificate was not just for certificate alone but also for a culture the company had chosen to imbibe every day in its operations.
“ISO standard, especially the quality management standards, enables business to plan for future growth and aim at meeting customers’ expectations,” he said.
