Renowned Professor of History, Dahiru Yahaya, is dead.
Yahaya, a former lecturer at the Bayero University Kano and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, died at a hospital on Wednesday, after a brief illness, at the age of 75.
A relative of the late professor, Bashir Habib Yahaya, confirmed the sad news to journalists.
He said funeral prayers for the deceased would hold at 4.00pm, in line with Islamic rites, at his residence, in Ungogo, Kano State.
The late professor left behind three wives, 22 children and many grandchildren.
