Rangers International of Enugu will on Sunday try to kill the ambitious spirit of Shooting Stars Football Club of Ibadan in the NPFL series.
The two oldest clubs in Nigeria are expected to pull teeming fans to the stadium in Enugu as the heat to survive the league hots up.
The Oluyole Warriors are still basking in the euphoria of their 2-0 triumph over Wikki Tourists of Bauchi last Sunday and are not ready to drop a point in the remaining duels of the league.
Shooting Stars coach, Fatai Amoo, seems to have found the winning mentality to scale through the turbulent waters and stay afloat in the log.
The 3SC officials have mobilised their fans to follow the team to Enugu for the support that would ginger the players to play at their best.
“We have put the 2-0 win over Wikki Tourists behind us. Now, we need to continue in that manner to remain relevant and survive the elite league. We know it is not going to be easy to beat Rangers at home but we will give it a push and make the best out of the encounter,” he said.
Rangers, who recently lost 1-3 to Lobi, will fight like wounded Lions to redeem their image in front of their teeming fans.
“Rangers will be all out against Shooting Stars. That is what I can tell you. We can’t afford to lose this match. No! Nothing will stop us,” Christian Chukwu assured.
