Nowadays, many young people and even adults have formed the habit of watching pornography and masturbating. Scientist have, however, conducted several research and found out that people, who take pleasure in pornography, stand the risk of damaging some vital organs in their bodies due to constant exposure to this anti-social practice.
The term pornography applies to the depiction of the act rather than the act and the primary subjects of pornographic models are actors who pose for still photography and pornographic actors, who perform in films.
Studies have shown that pornographic sites’ traffic chats, number of hours, number of visits and visitations to various sites increased from 22.3 billion clicks in 2009 to 33.6billion in year 2010, 39 billion in 2011, 52 billion in the year 2012 and 63.2 billion in 2013. 78.9 billion was recorded in 2014 and it increased with about 10percent in 2015 to 88 billion clicks.
In America, statistics of pornography in 1992 indicated that about five per cent of men experience erectile dysfunction at age 40 but by the year 2013, 26 per cent of adult men under 40 had been sexually disabled. While in Switzerland, about 33 per cent of young men between ages 18 and 25 have been sexually disabled, indicating that their sexual hydraulics had collapsed.

untitledIn America, 50 neuroscientists conducted a research and they found out that one independent company has 58million monthly view on its pornographic site and ten years later, the same company began to have 107million visits monthly to that site; while another site has 2.4 million visitors per hour and in 2015, 4billion and 400million hours visits per hour.
Another pornographic showed an increase from 63.2 billion to 78.9 billion viewers between 2012 and 2013. Also, 45 per cent access to these sites is from mobile phones while 44 per cent is through desktops and only 11 per cent through other medium.
Pornography and masturbation are intertwined and in marriage they can lead to infidelity and increase in marital distress. In America, 30 young men under the age of 38 were used as samples and when they got married, in a case of one of them, for six years, he was not functional sexually and another just slept with his wife once in a year. All of them complained that they had no erection with their wives but they did when the scientist played pornographic videos for them, within one minute, indicating that their brains had been trained to love an image and not a real human being.
Their mind was sexually motivated but their bodies failed to cooperate and all of the 38 men confirmed that they watched pornographic messages.
This has resulted in a high rate of infidelity among women who search for self-help.
Forensic pathologists in Nigeria have confirmed that out of 104, 000, who went for paternity test, 33, 000 came out negative. The implication is that 77,000 children are born out of infidelity.
Pornography and masturbation diminish or even outright shoot down the man’s capacity to be sexually active over the years; because the person has been satisfied and is no longer interested in satisfying the other party, intimacy reduces.
A specialist in chemistry, who pleaded anonymity, explained the chemical reactions that goes on in the human body.
He said that the body was driven by minerals, including “sodium, magnesium, zinc and so on, essential to the body. Inside the body, about 10,000 reactions go on and all this 10,000 are driven by minerals and the body must maintain proper amount of minerals. The level of each mineral in the body has an effect on every other mineral.
“If one out of 18 minerals can be out of balance, it affects other minerals; if not corrected, it can lead to chemical reaction of imbalance that leads to sickness.”
According to the source, zinc is the most essential element for male sexuality and fertility. Anytime a man releases sperm, he losses 15 milligram of zinc out of the required 50 milligram needed in the body and the macular in the eye contains the highest amount of zinc in the body. So, the eyes need zinc for efficient sight; if not, it will result in blurred vision.
The source added that when zinc is not sufficient, other minerals will not be able to perform their functions and since zinc is now in shortage it will later result in fatigue and memory loss.
“The blurred vision will persist until the level of zinc increases again to 50 milligram and if the there is frequent release of sperm, it will result in erectile dysfunction.”
The source concluded that the satisfaction derived from pornography does not last for a long time like the actual sex. So, participants tend to increase the number of times they view pornographic messages.
“Although not all erectile dysfunction is as a result of pornography because anti-depressants and other anti-hypertensive drugs can also lead to erectile dysfunction, the absence of these drugs. They will remain open over time as pornography is in place”.
Dr. Tolu Agbana of the Kogi State Teaching Hospital said the effect of masturbation was the same in all men who have made it a practice.
“But while it is a well-documented effect of long-term masturbation, blurred vision and memory loss from zinc deficiency isn’t so common. A man may need to masturbate multiple times a day for a long while before such effects become manifest. This is because zinc is a micronutrient that is available in many common food source,” he said.
Research by American scientists about pornography finds that the more pornography a person watches, the more likely the person, in the earlier stages, engages in extra- marital affairs. “Pornography has damaging effects on marriages and it also has effects on the unmarried; psychotherapy reveals that pornography damages men’s sexual health and ultimately leads to erectile dysfunction,” he said.
Agbana said, “Some men may experience other effects of prolonged exposure that makes sexual activities difficult or unsatisfactory.
“Many men, who consume pornography still have sexual desires towards their partners though many agree they find more satisfaction in porno than their physical partners.”
Agbana concluded that reports have shown that there has been an increase in web traffic to pornographic sites, even in Nigeria.
Pornography is injurious to the brain, which contains an arousal center connected to the private part triggered by the image, instead of the partner over time.
Scientists have recommended that a minimum time in which the brain can be left to reboot is three months during which exposure to pornography must have been stopped.
