Police arrest three robbery suspects in Ogun

The Police in Ogun have arrested three suspected armed robbers at Owakurudu,  old Epe Garage, Ijebu-Ode Local Government Area of the state.
The suspects, including Biola Dabiri, Wasiu Oluyadi and Bolaji Oluwole were arrested in the early hours of Monday while they were trying  to carry out a robbery operation at Owakurudu.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, stated  that  the robbers were  nabbed by the police  following  a distress call made to Igbeba Police Divisional Headquarters, and the Divisional Police Officer, CSP Adebiyi Ademola,  led his anti-robbery team to the scene, where the three suspects were arrested, after exchanging gun shots with the police.
Three other members of the gang escaped.
Oyeyemi, an assistant superintendent of police, said exhibits recovered from the suspects included two laptop computers, six GSM handsets and two live cartridges.
The PPRO, however, noted that the state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad for discreet investigation.
The state police commissioner equally ordered a massive manhunt for the fleeing members of the gang with a view of bringing them to justice.
The police boss also appealed to members of the public to always alert the police on time whenever they were in distress, noting that the command was determined to rid the state of crime and criminality.
