The police in Cross River have arrested some unidentified hoodlums who, in the early hours of Saturday, attacked a corps member, Miss Gbenimachor Chinezendu-Ezinne, in her residence at Obubra Local Government Area of the state.
Chinezendu-Ezinne, a 2016 Batch B `Stream 1’ corps member, is currently having her primary assignment at the General Hospital in Obubra.
The hoodlums attacked her in her residence and inflicted an injury on her right thumb, after efforts to sexually assault her failed.
Reacting to the attack on the corps member, the state NYSC Coordinator, Mrs. Ambekemo Eniola, told The Point on the phone that Chinezendu-Ezinne had reported the matter
