Police arrest 3 robbery suspects in Ogun

The police in Ogun have arrested three suspects for alleged robbery.
The suspects, Suleiman Waheed, Mathew Johnson and Isiaka Momoh, were arrested in the early hours of Tuesday while attempting to rob one Bello Ibrahim of his motorcycle with registration number GBE 159VZ along the Ijebu Ode -Ibadan road.
Policemen attached to Awa Ijebu division, who were being led on routine patrol by the Divisional Police Officer, got information about the attempted robbery and raced to the scene where they arrested the three suspects.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said that the suspects had already made confessional statements and the exhibit had been recovered.
Oyeyemi, an assistant superintendent of police, said investigation had revealed that the suspects had been terrorising the area for some time.
The PPRO said that the state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, had ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to the State Criminal investigation and intelligence Department for further investigation.
The police boss further warned that criminals would have no place in Ogun because the command would not leave any stone unturned in ridding the state of crime and criminality.
