Police arrest 11 suspected cultists in Ogun

The police in Ogun have arrested eleven members of a notorious cult group, which has been terrorising the residents of Ijeja in the Agbado area of the state..
The suspects, who were rounded up in their hideout on Sunday, where they were planing to launch an attack on their targets in the area, include Abayomi Agbefolaju, 25; Alaba Ayoade,17; Olamide Abdul Rasheed, 21; Hakeem Ayoola, 21; Olaoye Gbolahan, 21; Adebayo  Julius, 21; Taiwo Sodiq, 22; Teniola Imoleayo, 22; Adesina Aminat, 20; Seun Odemuyiwa,18; and Kehinde Adunoye,18yrs.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the suspects’ arrest, said that dangerous weapons, including a “UTC axe, one UTC cutlass, some blue berets ,charms and other dangerous weapons.”
Oyeyemi, an assistant superintendent of police, added that the state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, had ordered that the suspects be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for proper investigation and prosecution.
The police boss warned that the state would never be conducive for anybody hiding under any cult group to unleash terror on innocent citizens in the state.
