The police have arraigned a 19-year-old man, Lucky Momoh, before an Apapa, Lagos, Magistrate’s Court for stealing some equipment worth about N123,000.00.
Policemen attached to the Ajeromi Police Station had earlier arrested the accused person, Momoh and charged him to court for stealing.
Momoh was accused of stealing two welding machines, two tarpaulin, one manual cutting machine and cutting iron rods all valued at N123, 000.00.
The police prosecutor, Inspector Edet Ekpo, said Momoh committed the offence at number 56, Mba Street, Ajegunle Apapa Magisterial District, where he stole “two welding machines, one manual cutting machine, cutting iron rods, all valued at the sum of one hundred and twenty three thousand naira (N123, 000)) property of one Mba Zik ‘m’ and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 287 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
The accused person pleaded not guilty to the
offence.
The magistrate, N.A. Layeni, granted him bail in the sum of N50, 000.00 with two sureties in like sum.
The sureties must also have tax clearance.
