A suspected Russian undercover has been reportedly arrested by the Polish Internal Security Agency (ABW) near the Ukrainian border.

The spy, who is said to be a Spanish citizen with a Russian background, allegedly worked for the Russian intelligence agency GRU, the ABW said on Friday.

Report had it that he was arrested in the night of February 28, in Przemysl, near the Polish-Ukrainian border after the Russian army invaded Ukraine.

The ABW alleged that the suspected spy planned to travel to Ukraine to work as a Russian undercover.
