The Oyo State House of Assembly, on Tuesday, approved the request of Governor Seyi Makinde to appoint 20 Special Advisers.

The Governor, in his letter to the Assembly, said the request was to enable him to put up a team that would work with him to deliver good governance to the people.

Majority Leader, Sanjo Adedoyin, who spoke after the presentation of Makinde’s letter, commended the Executive arm of government for being proactive with the request.

He said the letter of request could not have come at a better time, adding that the people of Oyo State had been looking forward to a formidable team to actualise the campaign promises of the Governor.

He thereafter moved the motion that the request for the appointment of 20 Special Advisers by the Executive be granted.
