Three residents of Ilo Pewo, Ilo Ifako, Harmony Estate in Ota, Ogun State, Messrs Olumide Ashade, Oladele Ashade and Sunkanmi Ashade, have called on the state government to save their family from an embarrassing noise pollution caused by a religious organization close to their house.

In a protest letter addressed to the director of environmental health department, AdoOdo/Ota Local Government, the Ashades said the church, Christ Palace Evangelical Church, next to their house has been tormenting them and their family with persistent noise over the years.

According to them, the church erected its tent directly over their fence and since then it has been drumming and making noise across the fence day and night.

“We have two aged parents in our house, they have been in and out of the hospital and they need a peaceful environment. Ever since the church started its activities, we have lost the peace we have been enjoying for more than years. The noise is both day and night.

“We hereby appeal to the authority that is concerned to please come to our rescue so that the noise pollution will be curtailed,” the Ashades wrote.
