Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen’s blistering form for Napoli has been rewarded after he was named Serie A Player of September.
The striker is enjoying a rich vein of form for his Serie A side after scoring seven goals in six games across all competitions in the month under review.
Four of those goals came in four Serie A matches he played in the month under review with the three other strikes coming in the Europa League including the brace he fired in the 2-2 draw at Leicester City.
According to the report of the polls, Osimhen collected half of the vote cast by the AIC players to beat Barela, Brahim, Diaz, and Bonaventura.
Osimhen is presently in the camp of the Super Eagles and is expected to lead the line when they face the Central African Republic in the 2022 Qatar World Cup qualifier.
His form has attracted big-spending clubs across Europe including Manchester City, Real Madrid and Chelsea but the Naples outfit have said their prized asset, who has also had nine shots on goal so far this season, is not for sale.
