Super Eagles Head Coach, Sunday Oliseh, will be facing a race against time to positively impact on the players that will be resuming camping in Abuja on Monday, December 14 ahead of the 2016 African Nations Championship.

The likes of Gbolahan Salami and 25 others local league stars head to the nation’s capital on Monday, but feelers from the football house reveal that Oliseh will only join the team in South Africa where they are expected to camp before storming Rwanda for 2016 CHAN.

“Oliseh will now join the Eagles in South Africa when they begin training camp there,” disclosed an NFF official.

Oliseh recently admitted he was not fully recovered from a virus infection that saw him jet back to his base in Belgium. The same illness forced him to miss the CHAN Eagles second leg qualifier in Burkina Faso.

Meanwhile, assistant coach Salisu Yusuf will take charge of the CHAN Eagles in the absence of Oliseh just like he did in the final game of the qualifying rounds in Ouagadougou. The Eagles who are drawn alongside Niger, Tunisia and Guinea, are expected to open a training base in Pretoria later this month.

The third edition of the CHAN competition kicks off on January 16, 2016 in Kigali
