The Ogun State Government has awarded the contract for the proposed railway transportation project to a Chinese construction company.
Governor Ibikunke Amosun disclosed this when he hosted the Chinese Consul General, Mr. Cho Xiaoliange, in Abeokuta, as part of the efforts to strengthen the relationship between the state and the Chinese Government in various sectors, especially in the area of rail transportation.
“The State will continue to keep and develop the mutual relationship that exists between the duo for the benefit of the people”, Amosun said.
The Chinese Consul General, Xiaoliang, in his speech, promised to always contribute to the economy of the state by inviting more companies from China to invest in the gateway state so that business activities would continue to thrive.
