Now that Banky W is off the market of bachelors and D’banj is reportedly in a secret marriage, producer Don Jazzy is now seen as the last standing eligible bachelor in the music industry. All eyes are on him and he is aware also, even though he pretends about it.
At the age of 34, he is not getting younger anymore. He told journalists at different times that he did not have an idea of when he would get married. Worse still, nobody knows if he has a girlfriend or not. In fact, for years now, the media has not been able to romantically attach any lady to Jazzy. If he has a serious relationship that could lead to marriage presently, he has successfully kept it away from the media.
Though there is always the challenge of getting the right woman, especially when one is made, marriage is key in the society we live in. Another fearful factor that could be disturbing Don Baba is the increasing divorce cases in the entertainment industry. If I were in his shoes too, I would be mindful of that. While everyone thinks Banky and Adesua’s union is a match made in heaven, there is still the need for Don Jazzy to be worried. He saw Tiwa Savage’s marriage to Teebillz crashing right before his eyes. He was even fingered in the whole drama, as Teebillz identified him as one of the men who slept with his wife.
But in spite of all the wrong that is happening, being single is not an option for Jazzy. Even if it takes him to go back to his village to pick a girl, it is high time he gave marriage a shot. With all the negativity, the unions of Olu Jacobs and Joke Silva as well as Ireti and Patrick Doyle are perfect examples that celebrities can marry and stay married.
When the news of Banky’s proposal to Nollywood’s Adesua hit the spotlight, Jazzy was one of the celebrities that quickly reacted to it. He tweeted in his normal jovial manner, “Dear @LindaIkeji, I wrote one movie script like that. I will be the lead actor in it. Abeg u sabi act?” He followed with another tweet, “See now Adesua is gone. All these fine girls will still be padlocking DM.”
Jazzy’s tweet did not go down without Linda Ikeji’s response. In her reaction, she said, “Yes o, I can act! Very well sef… as long as we can air it on Linda Ikeji TV.”
Like Jazzy, fans cannot wait any longer to see Linda tie the knot. The excitement of the possibility of both getting married even made one of the P-Square brothers, Peter, to declare that he would sponsor the marriage if they became one. Few days ago on Instagram, the pop star shared a photo of Linda and Jazzy, saying, “@DONJAZZY and @ offciallindaikeji in case that movie finally happens, I, Mr. P will sponsor the wedding.”
A certain girl even dedicated a video to Linda and Jazzy, titled, ‘Special Message for Brother Don Jazzy and Aunty Linda.’ The young girl appealed, “I have a request to make for you all, especially for Brother Don Jazzy and Aunty Linda. Please Aunty Linda, accept Brother Don Jazzy, (the) producer and everybody should please support them.”
While Jazzy continues to look for his other half, it may not a bad idea if he finds love in Linda. Apart from the fact that Linda is a few years older than him, as the former is 36 years in age, they could be a match made in heaven.
