After years of developing himself and finding his sound, Obaloluwa Moses Martins, better known as Oba Marteenz, has released a debut single, titled, ‘Exodus.’

The talented Nigerian Afro gospel singer, who is based in the United Kingdom, started music at an early age with poetry recitations and performances in Zaria and Kaduna in Nigeria.

At a time, he moved to Lagos to pursue his quest for musical excellence and worked under producer Puffy T. He said, “With Puffy T, I horned my knowledge of the craft as an apprentice, graduating in the vast development of afrobeat music and the concept of using mother tongue to express rhythm and poetry.”

According to him, living in the UK has been one unique change he has experienced. Adapting to the weather, studying, working and starting a family was not easy. But all these could not stop him from pursuing his dream of impacting younger generations and the whole world through good music.

Speaking about his single, he said, “In my first studio work, titled, ‘Exodus,’ I used past experiences with a blend of afrobeat to tell the story of a man who, against all odds, is prepared to take the stage and minister through his music. The song expresses the hard times and future expec- tations of God’s grace and faithful- ness regardless of shortcomings.”
