Bendel Insurance golden boy, Michael Enaruna has spoken with so much excitement about his recent goal form as he urged fans to be patient with the team.
Speaking with journalists after scoring his goal for Bendel Insurance FC in the home game against El-Kanemi Warriors which ended 1-1 at the weekend Enaruna was delighted with his recent form that has seen him score 2 goals in 2 games for the Benin boys. His first was the winning goal against his former team, Shooting Stars SC which ended 1-0 and now his second goal against El-Kanemi Warriors.
“I feel so happy for my performance today, I give God all the glory for everything. It’s not been easy for me, right from the pre-season period till now, things were really not working in my favour and in addition to that, I sustained an injury which didn’t also help. As a team, we are not very happy with this result, as we didn’t get the kind of result we wanted but we’ll continue to do all we can on and off pitch to get to back to winning ways and also maintain some consistency with that.”
On how he he thinks his goal scoring form will help his team going forward, he said, “I feel really confident right now and I think that’s all I need to help my team. I think next weekend will be another opportunity to contribute my quota for the team and I’m very confident of a win against Ikorodu City.”
Enaruna is currently the highest Goalscorer for Bendel Insurance this season with two goals while James Oronsaye and Vincent Okeke have a goal each.
