The Independent National Electoral Commission has insisted that incident forms will not be used in the forthcoming elections.
Speaking in Abuja on Friday, the INEC Director of Voters Education and Publicity, Mr Oluwole Osaze-Uzzi, said the position of INEC on the forthcoming elections in the country had been communicated to political parties during a meeting with stakeholders.
Osaze-Uzzi said any voter that had an issue with the card readers would have his bio-metrics recaptured and that if other issues crop up, such would be looked at after the elections.
He added that simultaneous accreditation and voting would be adopted during the elections, saying the system was not new to voters.
He said the system was first adopted during the governorship election in Bayelsa State, noting that the system was adopted after due consultations with many stakeholders.
“The simultaneous accreditation and voting was adopted when we started seeing a lot of discrepancies between the number of accredited voters and the actual voters. More importantly, we feel it is better for the electorate to come in, do the accreditation, vote and go back to their businesses,” Osaze-Uzzi said.
He urged those who had not collected their Permanent Voter Cards to do so at the designated centres as they were now available for collection.
