An aide of a former governor of Abia State, Chief Joshua Ogbonnaya, has insisted that there is no alternative yet to President Muhammadu Buhari for the leadership of the country in 2019.
Ogbonnaya, who is a former media adviser to the governor, stated this in Umuahia while speaking to our correspondent against the backdrop of the reactions trailing Buhari’s declaration to recontest in 2019.
He said his position was based on the President’s resolve to address, headlong, the monumental economic and security challenges he inherited from his predecessor in 2015.
The publisher of The Rising Sun maintained that within his short period in office, the President had addressed issues such as power supply, food security, bribery and corruption.
“He has shown that he has the capacity to address the parlous economic situation the previous administration bequeathed to the country, without remorse,” he said.
Ogbonnaya pledged to take the campaigns for the re-election of the President to every nook and cranny of the state and even beyond, to ensure his victory at the polls.
