The Nigerian National Petroleum Company has dismissed allegations in a viral video claiming that its fuel does not last, calling the assertions false, misleading, and unscientific.

In a statement issued on Saturday, NNPC Ltd described the claims as baseless and lacking professional credibility.

The company has reaffirmed that their fuel meets high quality standards, ensuring efficiency, sustainability and environmental sustainability.

“An important ratio of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) is sold at NNPC retail stations in Lagos, where the video comes from Dangote refinery, complying with strict standards of the industry,” the press release said.

NNPC Ltd accused economic saboteurs of attempting to mislead the public and damage its reputation.

The company warned that it would take legal action against individuals or groups spreading false information about its operations.

“We will not forgive an intentional information designed to weaken our activities and deceive Nigerians.”

The company reassured the Nigerians about its commitment to ensure the use, payment and quality of fuel while maintaining global industrial standards.
