Plans have been finalised for the Nigerian Exchange Limited to host the first edition of its TechNovation Conference on Thursday, 30 September 2021.
Acting Head, Corporate Communications, NGX, Clifford Akpolo said, “The advancement and exponential growth of technology around the world has signaled a new wave of opportunities for forward thinking organisations.
“NGX remains committed to leveraging technology to provide a broad range of services including but not limited to smart capital formation,” in a statement made available to The Point.
He added that “TechNovation will, therefore, serve as a platform that can create opportunities for smart business leaders looking to tap into the next level of growth and competitive advantage.”
The Point reports that the NGX TechNovation Conference has been conceived as a flagship event that would provide a platform for local and global technology leaders to syndicate conversations around technology, partnerships and innovation so as to enhance advance technology adoption in the Nigerian capital market.
This inaugural edition of the Conference would hold under the theme, “Technology, Platforms and Markets”, and the Chief Executive Officer, NGX, Temi Popoola, would be the host.
It would feature leading industry experts across the public and private sectors including the Director General, Securities and Exchange Commission, Lamido Yuguda; President, Africa Fintech Network, Dr. Segun Aina and Co-Founder and CEO, Flutterwave, Olugbenga Agboola.
Other confirmed speakers at the event include; Founder & General Partner, Future Africa, Iyin Aboyeji; Chief Transformation Officer, Data Science Nigeria, Bayo Adekanbi; Government Relations Officer, SEC, Dayo Obisan; CEO, 54Gene, Abasi Ene-Obong; Chief Customer Experience Officer, Interswitch, Oremeyi Akah; Country Manager, Opay, Ini Akpan and Co-Founder & CEO, F10, Andreas Itern.
