Wilfred Ndidi says he is delighted about his new attacking midfield position at Leicester City.
After a decline in performance last season, the Super Eagles midfielder is now flourishing under Italian manager Enzo Maresca.
Ndidi is now playing in an advanced position instead of his customary defensive midfield position for Maresca.
The player has recovered to his previous state as a result of the change.
Ndidi has scored three goals and provided one assist for the Foxes thus far this season across all competitions.
The 26-year-old said he loves his new position.
“As a little child growing up, I was always a central defender. Later, I switched to the number six position, and now I love playing the number eight position.
“It’s just the way I am; I’m willing to play whatever position on the pitch that is available to me. Trying to be myself, enjoy football, and just have fun, “he told reporters.
