The Management of the Nigerian Bottling Company Limited, manufacturers of Coca-
Cola products, has said that it has invested over $600 million in the country since 2010.
The Managing Director, NBC, Mr. George Polymenakos, who disclosed this in Lagos, recently, explained that the company had continuously been making major investments and upgrading its systems, including human capital, to drive world class operations.
“As NBC continues to pursue excellence in its operations, people and systems, so much is
being invested to transform our business, and better satisfy our market and loyal consumers,”Polymenakos said.
He added that NBC was also championing and driving investments in the well-being of
its host communities through intervention programmes in areas of skill acquisition, support initiatives for the youth, women empowerment and other community-shared value projects.
This, according to him, would ensure that the company bequeathed a lasting legacy to
coming generations. The Legal, Public Affairs and Communications Director of the company, Ms. Sade Morgan, said, “A key part of the Company’s sustainable growth and development agenda is its commitment to ensure NBC is in touch with communities, partnering and collaborating with them on a regular basis.
Nothing is more important and occupies the heart of our business than ensuring that the
communities we operate in are positively impacted.”
