The leadership of the National Assembly will this evening pay President Muhammadu Buhari a visit in the United Kingdom, where the President has been holidaying since January 19.
The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, Deputy Speaker, Hon Lasun Yusuf, and Senate Leader, Ahmed Lawan are all scheduled to meet with Buhari on Wednesday evening.
A media aide to the Senate President, Bamikole Omisore, confirmed that he was already in London with his boss, adding that Dogara was however on his way to London.
He however refused to give any details of the scheduled meeting.
The meeting is coming on the heels of a similar meeting the All Progressives Congress National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and APC interim National Chairman and former governor of Osdun State, Chief Bisi Akande, had with President Buhari last Thursday.
Others who had paid the President visits since his vacation in the UK include Ogun State governor, Ibikunle Amosun and Senator Daisy Danjuma.
Recall that the President was scheduled to return to the country penultimate Sunday, after his 10-day vacation, but extended his vacation indefinitely, citing advice from his doctor to wait for the results of some medical tests he conducted as reason for the indefinite extension.
Also recall that last week, Saraki announced on his Twitter handle that he spoke with President Buhari, who he said was in high spirits.
