Nasarawa establishes seven grazing reserves

In a bid to find a lasting solution to the recurrent herdesmen/farmers’ clash, the Nasarawa State Government has approved the utilisation of all the seven gazetted grazing reserves across the country abandoned some years back.

According to a press statement signed by the Secretary to the Nasarawa State Government, Mohammed Hassan Abdullahi, and made available to newsmen in Lafia, “In a bid to find a sustainable solution to the recurrent farmer / herders conflict in the country, the Federal Government has taken far – reaching measures in this regard, which include reactivation and further development of existing grazing reserves and provision of model ranches across the country.”
