Mountain of Fire and Miracles Football Club FC head coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu, has expressed concern about the poor performance of his team after losing at home to Plateau United on Sunday.
The NPFL debutants announced their arrival on the big stage with an away win to Nasarawa United, but have failed to maintain the tempo. The team is now battling in the middle of the league table.
The Olukoya Boys have now suffered two defeats at home for the first time since they adopted the Agege Stadium as their ground in 2012.
“I am very disappointed; we created beautiful and clear-cut chances but we struggled to convert. One could still term it hard luck,” Ilechukwu told Goal.com
Ilechukwu added that converting the chances had become a major challenge. He, however, said the won’t give up.
“We will continue to find the right mix to solve this problem. We shall continue to push for a solution because this isn’t the time to go on a blame game.
“I’m worried that we have dropped in form, I am even disturbed that we have lost twice at home. But, I know my team, I know that they have the champions’ instinct in them and I know that we shall rediscover our form.”
