Having cultivated a wide base of followers through their music, Anambra born twins, Paul and Peter Okoye, who made up popular music group, P’Square, stunned their teeming fans and the music society at large a few years ago when they had a rift that resulted in their parting ways and going solo.
Their move, which was considered unfortunate, was nipped in the bud as well-meaning individuals prevailed on them to see reasons why they were good together and as such, persuaded them to ditch the idea of going their separate ways.
The unfortunate development recently reared its ugly head again and Peter decided to quit the group.
This episode went so bad that the twins almost threw punches. Their lawyer, Festus Keyamo, made moves to salvage the situation by denying the confrontation in a video that went viral.
With the statement made by Keyamo, coupled with the fact that members of the public felt the publicised fight was just to attract attention, the impression that everything was back to normal took the center stage. However, going by a recent move by Peter, who has since identified himself as Mr. P, Paul and Peter may have gone their separate ways for good to pursue their individual solo careers as Mr. P has made good his threat to quit the group.
Some days back, Peter debuted as a solo artiste with a single he released. The single, ‘Cool it Down’, which was released along with the video that was shot by Patrick Elis, has since become a subject of discussion as it confirms the end of the musical group, P’Squre. While Peter’s effort is considered not to be a bad one after all, it has, however, turned all eyes on Paul, who claims to be the engine room of defunct P’Square. Everybody is eagerly waiting to see the quality of what he will drop.
